Learn words visually! In this course, you will build your vocabulary by adding 3,000+ high frequency GRE words. A range of techniques like root words, visuals, thematic presentation etc., are employed to make vocabulary building so much easy and fun!
The first lesson provides the student access to the entire word list from the popular book Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis. Word Power Made Easy is mandatory for a student whose target is a high score in GRE Verbal. This book uses root word technique (etymology) in an excellent manner to help teach vocabulary. Our presentations take it one notch higher by adding images for these sets of words to make the vocab building process easy and memorable.
The next three lessons go in-depth into the high frequency GRE words. The entire GRE word list has been painstakingly divided into three major themes – Personalities of People, Qualities of Things and Studies of Subjects. Each of these three lessons will take the student through one of these themes.
In the three personality presentations provided, people’s traits such as friendly and hateful, happy and sad, lazy and hardworking, praise and criticism, ethical and corrupt, innocent and cunning etc., are covered. While, the next three presentations on qualities take the student through words related to time and money, reducing vs worsening, taking back and giving up, harmonious vs discordant, similar vs contrast and so on. In the final set of three study presentations, the focus is on various subject matters – biology vs spirituality, language vs logic, knowledge and government.
So, what are you waiting for? Dig in and have some fun!
